on 12th September, 2024 National Advanced Manufacturing Cluster of High-tech Ships and Marine Engineering Equipment (Nantong) Development Conference opened at Nantong International Conference Center.

Zhang Tong, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Nantong, said that shipbuilding and marine engineering industry is the name card and industrial landmark of Nantong. Nantong will focus on promoting the integrated development of the entire marine economy, advance the shipbuilding and marine engineering industry towards high-end, green, intelligent, and internationalized development, support enterprises in developing high-performance, high-tech and high-value products, striving to build a world-class shipbuilding and marine engineering industrial cluster.

Anu Vuori-Kiikeri, Consul General of Finland in Shanghai, said in her speech that Finland has a long and proud history of high-quality shipbuilding industry. Ships built are famous for their durability and reliability. The 10 companies which participated in the Finland exhibition represent the best expertise and technology in shipbuilding, marine equipment and relevant service areas. All of them have settled in China for years, established good cooperation partner relationships in China, and achieved many successful cases.

The expo lasted 3 days, comprehensively presenting the development achievements of Nantong's shipbuilding and marine engineering industry. Over 400 enterprises participated.
