On 13th March, Tengen Shunji, the president of Japan-China Friendship Association of Nara Prefecture, Japan and his delegation visited Nantong, and signed a letter of intent for friendly exchange with Nantong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
Nantong and Japan have frequent exchanges and close cooperation. Since China Nantong-Rikio Co., Ltd., the first Sino-foreign joint venture in Jiangsu, was established in Nantong in 1982, many well-known Japanese-funded enterprises such as DP Engineering Plastics, Toray, and Kawasaki Heavy Industries have settled in Nantong.
In the past few years, the number of young Japanese working in Nantong has been increasing, and the demand for their children’s education is becoming more prominent. To further improve the business environment of Nantong and promote Nantong’s cooperation and exchanges with Japan, Nantong Foreign Affairs Office and Chongchuan District promoted Toyosawa Co., Ltd. to establish relevant service enterprises in Nantong, and establish ‘China-Japan Course Center’ Japanese department in Nord Anglia School Nantong, to solve the difficulty in education for the children of the Japanese who work in Nantong.
On the same day, Ri'an Enterprise Management (Nantong) Co., Ltd. signed an agreement and settled in Chongchuan District. The ‘China-Japan Course Center’ project of Nord Anglia School Nantong was signed.
