At 15:00 of 13 March, a blue electric passenger train set out from Xingfu depot to main track, which marked the success of powered sliding test of Nantong underground railway line No.2, and it entered train commissioning stage.

Powered sliding test is an important procedure of safe operation of underground railway. The length of Nantong underground railway line No.2 phase 1 project is 20.85 km. Up to now, main structures of the 17 stations have been completed.

Last 10 November, underground railway line No.1 was open for operation. Nantong became the 6th city which entered ‘underground railway time’ in Jiangsu, after Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou and Xuzhou.
