It not only can serve as a mobile charging pile, to satisfy the charging demand of new energy vehicles, but also can store energy, charge itself in non-peak hours.’ on 6 March, in the workshop of Shanghai Electric Gotion New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Nantong Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Lin Wei, director of the research institute of the enterprise, introduced a row of chubby and cute machines in front of him, ‘we call it ‘Da Bai’. It’s similar to a power bank, but it has one more function which is power storage.’

The full name of ‘Da Bai’ is intelligent mobile storage and charging pile. It is about 2 m long, 1 m wide, and 1.3 m high. It’s in white color all over, with some red patterns. The front face is a screen of the shape of a smiling face. At the back, there are charging display area, card swiping area and charging terminal. Controlled by people, it can move in a flexible way.

‘Operation of intelligent mobile storage and charging pile is very easy. Owners of electric cars input charging order at APP or mini program on mobile phones, ‘Da Bai’ will move to target location following planned routes. Owners only need to insert charging gun to charging port of car, charging will be started. After charging is completed, a reminder will show on App or mini program on mobile phone. After the owner ends the charging, ‘Da Bai’ will return to the position of charging facility automatically, and use valley electricity time at night to charge itself.’ Lin Wei said, after ‘Da Bai’ is fully charged, it can charge 4 to 5 new energy vehicles, and mobile charger design make charging sites unrestricted. It can be used at places including public car parks, service areas of highway, and commercial complexes.
