On 22 July, Nantong Bureau of Statistics and Nantong investigation team of National Bureau of Statistics published the economic operation condition of Nantong in the first half of the year. Data shows that in the first half of the year, the economy of the city was accelerated in recovery and improvement.

According to unified accounting results of GDP, in the first half of the year, the realized GDP is 603.24 billion yuan, there is an increase of 7%, 2.7 percentage points faster than that of the first quarter. Among them, the value added of primary industry is 20.75 billion yuan, there is an increase of 4.3%; the value added of secondary industry is 296.68 billion yuan, there is an increase of 8%; the value added of tertiary industry is 286.81 billion yuan, there is an increase of 6.2%.
