Looking at reduction of carbon emission in enterprises, and looking at greening by the Yangtze River

On 4 September, walking into the hall of Zhongtian Technology group, there was a very eye-catching display board of ‘850 days to carbon tax implementation’, waiting for the envoys to China from various countries who came to participate ‘Jiangsu Visit of Envoys to China’ in Nantong.

To serve local high quality development and high-level opening up, and promote expansion of international cooperation channels of major projects, Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized 11 countries’ envoys to China including New Zealand and Israel, to come to Jiangsu for ‘Jiangsu Visit of Envoys to China’ event whose theme is ‘technology and innovation in Jiangsu, zero carbon emission in the future’. Nantong is the first stop of the event.

Zhongtian Technology Group is the first enterprise of the visit. The guests entered Zhongtian Technology cultural brand exhibition hall, got to know the conditions of Zhongtian such as development progress, industrial panels, and global layout, especially products, technologies and layout of panels including optical fiber and photovoltaic new energy.

‘As a private enterprise, it has a development strategy with a national perspective, and has been exploring new fields continuously. This is the point which impressed me most.’ Irit Ben-Abba, ambassador of Israel to China said that Israel and Jiangsu had always been cooperating, this time they came to look for opportunities, ‘I hope that we can have cooperation in more fields with enterprises in Jiangsu and Nantong.’

At Wushan Binjiang Ecological Area, the guests took miniature train to cross the forest, and stepped on the trail by the Yangtze River, recorded the beautiful scene of the Yangtze River with mobile phones, and took photos with the Yangtze River.

‘Wushan National Forest Park is very beautiful. It was built along the Yangtze River. And the Yangtze River is the mother river of Chinese people. I am very glad to visit here.’ knowing that the park was built a few years ago, underwent a lot of wharf and factory relocation, and large scale of ecological restoration, it finally became what it is now, Grahame Morton, Ambassador of New Zealand to China had a lot of feelings, ‘It is not only the development of the city, but also people’s need for a better life.’
