On 28th December 2023, Tongjing Avenue rapid transformation project (Jianghai Avenue － Qinzao Road) fully opened to traffic through the line.

‘The project was laid according to “main road plus auxiliary road” section. The design speed of the main road is 80 km/h. It has two ways and six lanes. Except the part under Nanjing-Qidong Railway which is on the ground, the other parts are all in the form of viaducts.’ Huang Can, the person in charge of the project from Nantong Urban Construction Group introduced that the auxiliary road was changed from previous two ways two lanes to two ways four to six lanes, and the design speed is 50 km/h. By increasing the number of lanes of the auxiliary road, the design speed of the auxiliary road was increased, and the traffic flow would be increased further.
