On 29th January, Nantong Classic Chinese Cuisine Promotion and Tasting Event was held.
Nantong cuisine belongs to Huaiyang cuisine. Famous dishes such as the world’s No.1 Fresh and Langshan chicken braised in brown sauce have become delicacies with Jianghai characters. Nantong people have opened Chinese restaurants in many countries including America, Denmark and Russia.
At the event, 3 overseas catering institutions including Happy Harbor Seafood Restaurant in Los Angeles, United States and 12 Nantong local catering institutions including Yiwo Catering Center and Rugao Sihai Building were recognized as overseas promotion centers of Nantong Chinese cuisine culture.
‘I am going to open a high-end Chinese restaurant in America.’ Sheng Donglin, the Executive President of Chinese American Federation and President of Nantong Fellow Citizens Association in the United States, said that many Nantong dishes could not be replicated in America due to the raw materials, but he would use the cooking method of Nantong cuisine, to create Nantong taste with local food raw materials, to let people around the world feel the charm of Jianghai delicacies.
