On 5th July, towed by 4 tugboats, Q-Max type LNG ship ‘Amira’ from Qatar entered Rudong Yangkou Port. So far, Jiangsu LNG Receiving Terminal has received and unloaded 700 LNG ships.
‘When we came for the first time, it was in 2012. Over the past decade, the offshore channel has been smoother, and the receiving terminal has been getting busier. There are more storage tanks, and the port time is shorter. We also got to know many new and old friends.’ Dragan Peraic, the captain of ship ‘Amira’, said with a smile. The Loading Port of ship ‘Amira’ is Ras Laffan, Qatar. 15 days ago, it set out from local port, passed the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, the Indian Ocean, the Strait of Malacca, the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea, and reached Yangkou Port.
For more than a decade, the receiving terminal has received and unloaded about 70% of the resources from ‘the Belt and Road’ joint building countries. It has become one of the most important windows of economic and trade exchanges between the East and the West.
